Grandparents Day 2022 | A WRAL Azalea Gardens Family Session

My in-laws drive almost 3 hours to visit us every month. It’s not something I take for granted. For one, gas isn’t cheap! But in all seriousness, I love that they are making every effort to be involved in my kids’ lives. My parents live further away and aren’t able to visit as often, but we stay in touch with phone calls and Facetimes. It’s important to me that my children know their grandparents.

During their September visit, we got a chance to update pictures with them! It was a quick session — literally 21 minutes from the first image I shot to the last shot of the day. But I’m so glad we made the time for this. My littlest ones are still getting to know their grandparents. Visiting monthly became a thing the day Zoe cried when my mother-in-law picked her up. I love that we have these images now where the twins can remember their faces and learn their names — well the names that Autumn chose for them.

I’ll leave you with this series of images because Autumn makes me smile.
