August 2023 Goals - Raleigh Photographer

I know, I know. Super random picture to share with this blog post, but hear me out. Ever feel like you’re just treading water? August has always been a busy month for us with my wedding anniversary this week and Autumn’s birthday in two weeks. Then — just like that — summer break is over and we’re back to school. In the whirlwind of summer activity, I feel like we blinked and it’s coming to an end.

Something about this duck is peaceful to me though. I recently found it looking through some of the old photos I took 8 years ago (more on that later), and I knew that I had to share it. I would love to be the type of person that has a system for everything and is just floating along enjoying where they are, without worrying or stressing about where they’re heading. Maybe I’ll get there one day, but right now, I’m still learning to trust God.

It’s crazy when you think about it because we’re talking about the only one in history with a perfect track record for coming through clutch. Like, He’s NEVER failed and I’m over here stressing the moment after I say “Amen.” I gotta do better. Are you like me?
