Maurice's Graduate Portrait Session

Last year was such a crazy year for seniors, and so far, it looks like 2021 isn’t gonna see much of a change. Schools are cancelling graduations or hosting them virtually to slow the spread. I get it. But it still seems like the graduating seniors are getting short-changed. If you’ve been following along, you know that I’m big on celebrating and documenting every milestone. Even though commencement ceremonies are cancelled, senior sessions are alive and well! Maurice is a Hampton graduate and is applying to medical schools. He showed up to the studio for his yearbook picture with a fresh cut and a tux. Then, he pulled out his Hampton blue sweater and we headed out to Pullen Park for the second half of his session. When we arrived at Pullen Park, I was surprised to find that we had the whole place to ourselves! I’ve never seen the park so empty in the middle of a sunny day. It was still chilly out, but Maurice smiled and posed for the camera while walking and running to keep warm between takes. Here are a few of my favorites from his session:

And his friends and family will receive these cards in Hampton blue as a keepsake to celebrate his accomplishments with him.
